Calistus Ihejiagwa, an Imo State Labour Party (LP) agent, was on Sunday morning reportedly beaten and bundled out of the Imo State Collation Centre in Owerri.
According to eyewitnesses, the agent objected to the results collated from the local government areas, saying the results brought before the state collation centre were at variance with what was on the Result Viewing Portal (IREV).
He was also said to have told Prof Abayomi Fashina, the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission for the election that he had a petition to submit before INEC.
The eyewitnesses said the Labour Party agent was shut down by the REC who said it was not in his purview to receive petitions.
He was subsequently bundled out of the collation centre by some other party agents at 5 am while collation continued.
