A member of the Labour Party (LP) caucus in the House of Representatives, Mr. Ajang Iliya, representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency in Plateau State, has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
This latest defection comes less than a week after five LP members in the House also joined the APC.

Speaker Abbas Tajudeen made the announcement during Thursday’s plenary after reading Iliya’s defection letter.
In the letter, Iliya attributed his decision to the ongoing crisis within the Labour Party and his desire to align with the APC’s national development agenda under President Bola Tinubu.
