Police operatives in Lagos said it has arrested a nurse over the death of a 36-year-old woman simply identified as Abiola in the Lekki area of the state.
The woman reportedly died after undergoing a botched buttocks enlargement procedure at a clinic in the Lekki-Phase 1.
BBL is a popular enhancement surgery that sculpts the buttocks while removing excess fat from other body areas.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the state Police Command, confirmed the incident in a statement.
He said the deceased’s driver reported the incident at the Maroko Police Division.

“Detectives from the command had visited the scene, gathered evidence, inspected and photographed the woman’s remains, and subsequently transported the corpse to a morgue for autopsy.”
