Amidst the crisis rocking the Lagos chapter of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) a delegation of members of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) led by Chief Raymond Dokpesi, former chairman of Daar Communications, on Monday, visited the Lagos4Lagos movement, a group within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Recall that the Lagos4Lagos movement had kicked against the decision of the leadership of the Lagos APC for adopting consensus as the option for electing ward executives at the last ward congress leading to a parallel state congress which produced Sunday Ajayi as chairman.
According to the PDP delegation, the meeting with the APC group is part of efforts to advocate collaboration with Lagos4Lagos on joining the PDP ahead of the 2023 general election.
Speaking during the visit, Chief Dokpesi said Adediran who is the leader of Lagos4Lagos group has commendable influence in Lagos politics, he added that the right time has come for the desired change in Lagos state.
In his reaction, Adediran thanked the PDP delegates for believing in the ideology of the movement, adding that he would discuss with members of the movement and respond accordingly.
