Lagos house of assembly has passed the bill on the prohibition of open grazing in the state.
It was gathered that the assembly also passed the bill on value added tax (VAT) during the plenary session.
The two bills were passed after unanimous votes by the lawmakers.
Subsequently, the speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, directed Olalekan Onafeko, the acting clerk, to transmit copies of the bills to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos governor, for assent.
The speaker commended his colleagues for their passion to ensure the advancement of the state.
“I thank you all for this historic exercise,” Obasa said.
Recall that OSUN DEFENDER had earlier reported that the bills scaled second reading on Monday.
The house had subsequently held two separate public hearings on the bills on Wednesday, with different groups invited to air their views.
