Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA) has announced that all residents living around 1004 to Epe have decided to go against the reopening of the Lekki Toll Gate.
As disclosed by a Nigerian comedian and human rights activist, who is also an active member of LERSA, Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, in a tweet via his official Twitter account, “We are live at the LCC and StakeHolders Meeting.
“The Lekki Estate Residents and Stakeholders Association Chairman has announced the decision of all Residents which is NO TO TOLLING!”
Recall that the Lagos State Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotoso, earlier revealed plans by the Lagos State Government to open the Lekki Toll Gate which was closed in 2020, following since the shooting incident that occurred during the EndSARS protest.
The Commissioner disclosed that the Toll Gate is set to be opened byApril 1, 2022.
