Leon Balogun Gets Brighton Jersey No.14, Set For EPL Debut Vs Watford

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun will wear jersey number 14 when he begins life in England as a player of Premier League side, Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Nigerian who switched from Mainz 05 in the German Bundesliga 1 to the Premier League as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at the German club is hoping to make gaffer, Chris Hughton’s line-up when Brighton visits Vicarage Road on Saturday for their first premier league game of the season.

Balogun who played for Nigeria at the 21st FIFA World Cup held in Russia is looking forward to playing in one of the most entertaining and demanding leagues in the world.

He played 75 games in the Bundesliga, mostly for Mainz 05 and scored only once – against Cologne in April 2016, scoring the second goal for his club in their 3-2 loss.
