LG Election: Voting Begins In Oyo
Voting has begun in several polling units across Ibadan for the local government election in Oyo State.
Osun Defender reports that the election is being conducted in the 33 local government areas by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC.
It was learnt that there are reports of late arrival of materials in some polling units.
Some of the local government areas that have commenced voting include Ido, Ibadan North, and Ibadan North East local government areas.
An electoral officer who spoke on condition of anonymity said the exercise started around 8:30 am.
The officer said, “This is ward 11 unit 1, Ibadan North East local government area. We started accreditation and voting at 8:30 am. People have been coming here to vote.
“You can see, people have been coming here to vote.”
