LG Lawmaker, Owoade Organises Free Medical Service For His Constituency

Sunday 28th October was a day indigent patients in Irewole North-East Local Council Development Area of Osun state will not forget in a hurry because it was a day many of them received free medical care and services and regained their health courtesy of the leader of the LCDA.

The medical outreach was held on that day at the all units in Irewole North-East for the indigent patients from Wasimi and other communities that made up the LCDA.

The free medical outreach was sponsored by the leader, Irewole North-East Local Council Development Area ,LCDA, Hon Ademola Owoade.

Speaking during the outreach, Owoade said he was moved to embark on the exercise in order to help the poor people in his council area who might not be able to access quality health care.

Owoade said: “This exercise, tagged Free Medical Mission, is a way to empower the people of the area, if my people are healthy, they will live productive and vital lives. My People needs to be strong and healthy that is why I have embark in this mission.

“You can see the magnitude of people here, I’m doing this out the little I have because I believe so much in my people and they should should not suffer in all aspects of life.”

“We have given drugs to those that have high Blood Pressure to suppress it. We did malaria test and distributed drugs to those having malaria and diabetes

“Our Medical team have also advised them on what they eat and what they should not. The three cardinal programs of ENI WA has been actualised.”

“One the our cardinal programmes is Agriculture, we shared farm inputs with empowerment early this year.
Education, we organised free holiday coaching for the students during holidays and finally, Health which is wealth. Eni Wa loves his people.”

“The beneficiaries who were mainly the aged, pregnant mothers and children not only came from Wasimi also other communities in Irewole North-East LCDA.”

Commending Government Rauf Aregbesola for the opportunity he gave them to serve the people of their area, Owoade said “Health is wealth; in whatever way we can give our people health, we should do it.”

One of the beneficiaries, Abdulhameed Jimoh explained: “When I got the information that they are doing free health programme. I rushed down here. The programme is really good.”

Another patient, Mrs Alaba Olawumi, described the outreach as one of the valued packages to be given to the people of the area by any public office holder and called on the lawmaker to sustain the kind gesture.
