Ahead of the forthcoming Local government election in Osun State, a high-level Certificates and Documents Verification Committee will be inaugurated tomorrow (Monday) by the State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC).
A release by the Press Secretary to OSSIEC Chairman, Mr Omoniyi Badru indicates that the 15-member committee that will be headed by a retired senior staff with the National Population Commission, Alhaji Abdulateef Olayanyu will verify certificates and documents submitted by candidates of various political parties jostling for the chairmanship and councillorship positions in next year local governments elections in the state.
The committee is expected to be co-headed by a retired banker and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Mr Kazeem Adeniyi Olatokun, while a legal practitioner, Mrs Iyabo Olaniyi will serve as Secretary of the committee.
Other members of the committee include Mr Abiola Amure, Mrs Hanifat Adediran, Mrs Temitope Onifade, Mr Tajudeen Badejoko, Mrs Abolaji Atolagbe, Mr Wasiu Adebayo, Mrs Rofiat Babatunde and Mr Hamzat Olajide.

Representatives of Osun State Internal Revenue Service will also serve in the committee, while the Secretary,Osun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin, will represent the union in the committee.
The committee is expected to be inaugurated tomorrow morning by the Chairman, Osun State Independent Electoral Commission OSSIEC, Bar Hazeem Abioye at the commission’s headquarters, Testing Ground Area, Osogbo.
