Live Streamer, Peller Reportedly Kidnapped

Unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped Nigerian online streamer and content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, during a livestream on Wednesday night.

The streamer, who was live online during the alleged kidnap incident, could be heard in clips from the livestream saying, “You dey carry gun, Ogun wan kill you? Calm down Jor. Na who you come dey point gun for?”

One of the unknown gunmen responded, “Na me you dey follow me the tok like that? I say make you calm down, you dey follow me dey tok anyhow.”

The voices in the background after those exchanges hinted that Peller and the gunmen were dragging.

Moments later, someone at the scene with Peller announced that they had taken him [Peller] to an unknown location.

The faces of the unknown gunmen were not captured in the video.

However, in a new update on social media on Thursday morning, Peller’s close associate and colleague, Sandra Benede, disclosed that he had been rescued by the police.

Sandra, in a live video, stated that Peller has been found and is currently with the DPO.

“They have seen him. DPO has seen him. They never give details but they have seen him,” she said.
