A similar feat was performed by President Muhammodu Buhari during the commemoration of 25th creation anniversary where a world-class public school known as Osogbo Government High School was also commissioned.
The new Mega School has 3,000-capacity complex with 72 classrooms, each capable of sitting 49 pupils with modern facilities including internet which is in line and fulfilment of the administration’s education policy to build a complete person through the provision of functional, quality and qualitative education.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Alfa Balgore and a former Lagos state governor, Chief Lateef Jakande are expected to grace the inauguration as the old students of the school.

Stakeholders agreed on having three structures of basic education that is elementary, middle and high rather than the existing primary, junior and secondary levels.
A comprehensive overhaul of a physical and human component of the education system was also recommended.
A major recommendation of the Summit was the delineation of the schools’ system into the Elementary Schools Middle Schools and High Schools
The elementary is a neighbourhood school for students in the first grade to the fourth grade that is present primary one to four.
The middle school is for the fifth to the ninth grade, which is primary five to junior secondary school (JSS III).

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s speech was titled “The Making Of The Educated Person”
He recalled that at the beginin of his administration he had promised to make education a priority. He said this school in particular was notorious as a den of gangsters and juvenile cultists, and these problems in the educational sector lead to organizing an education summit presided over by Prof Wole Soyinka.
According to him, all the interventions in education came from the report of that summit. He said;
“One key point in the report is the environment of learning. A rundown dilapidated school structure cannot be conducive to learning”.
The governor also appealed to parents’ to ensure they paid the N6000 a year due for the students in order to maintain the school and make t last for decades. Ogbeni explained that it wasn’t common to have such free education anywhere in the country with state of the art infrastructures at the student’s disposal, so it was essential that the mega schools all across the state be maintained.
Aregbesola stated;
“Generally, the world is increasingly being defined and controlled by those who can think and bear their intellect on the matter and any situation. The possibilities, therefore, look infinite for them”.
“In the next 10 years, knowledge would have transformed the world beyond recognition. Self-driving cars, running on battery, using zero fuel, and programmed with all the addresses will be in the market in commercial quantity”.
He also said on the aspect of self-driving cars, it might be hard to believe, but at some time it was impossible to fly in the air.
Furthermore, Ogbeni Rauf spoke on how sad the administration was that they could not pay full salaries to some of their civil servants and pensioners, as they were incapacitated due to the economy of the country. He pleaded with professionals in all fields to help makes these students’ scholars.
He concluded his speech by commending his deputy Titilayo Tomori, the states legislators and executive, and the Owa Obokun for their support in building the state.
