Live Update: Osun West APC Awaits Collation as Last Batch of Delegates Votes

The ongoing primary election of Osun West Senatorial District of  the All Progressive Congress Congress (APC) is almost coming to an end as final batch of delegates are currently voting.
The last one out of the ten council areas, Iwo Local Government with 422 delegates are already voting while the officials are preparing grounds for collation.
3165 are expected to vote in the primary election solely contested by Senator Mudashir Husein with affirmation votes in accordance with the constitution of APC.
Delegates who just voted include the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, State Secretary of APC, Hon Rasaq Salinsile, Hon Toogun Oguntola, members of the state House of Assembly among others.
One of the agents of Senator Husein, Gbenga Ogunkanmi described the exercise as peaceful and acceptable to all.
Also Speaking, State Administrative Secretary of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  Mr Emmanuel Ademisure adjudged the process as transparent and peaceful.
He said 9 political parties are conducting primary election in the state to fill  the vacant senate position through bye election coming up on July 8.
