Super Eagles’ defender, Olaoluwa Aina has signed a new contract with London club Chelsea until 2021 and will spend the 2018/2019 season on loan at Italian side Torino.
The new contract crushes any hope of Torino signing the versatile defender on a permanent basis with the Blues clearly stating he remains a part of the club’s future.
Aina, made his first-team debut for the Blues in a League Cup win over Bristol Rovers in 2016, having progressed through the club’s academy, where he won several trophies, including two UEFA Youth Leagues and two FA Youth Cups.
Aina has been capped five times by Nigeria; he spent the whole of last season on loan with Hull City in the Championship where he featured regularly for the Tigers, making 46 appearances before his selection in Nigeria’s preliminary squad to the World Cup.
