Incoming Local Government Council Chairmen in Ogun State will be democratically elected and not appointed, the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun insists.
He also pledged that the forthcoming poll will be free and fair.
The Governor made this known while welcoming new members into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in Abeokuta.
According to him, “Very soon, the time table for the election will be released, we will not appoint chairmen for you at all, chairmanship will not be by appointment, it will be by election, everyone should continue to work hard”
The Governor while also welcoming the new members into the All Progressives Congress(APC), urged them to work together with the party in the business of making the party and the state an envy of all.
The State Caretaker Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Yemi Sanusi, while commenting noted that the party is big enough to accommodate as many progressive minded politicians as possible.
