French President, Emmanuel Macron, offered condolences to Indonesian people after a strong earthquake jolted Lombok Island in Central Indonesia on Sunday.
Macron took to Tweeter to say;
“My deepest sympathies to the families of the victims of the earthquake in Indonesia,’’
“For the French, present in the area, our consular services are fully mobilised.’’
Recall that on Sunday, a 7.0 magnitude quake struck the north of Indonesia’s resort Island of Lombok, killing at least 142 people and triggered a tsunami warning before being lifted.
There were no French visitors among the dead, according to the foreign ministry.
