Man, 23, In Prison Over Housebreaking, Stealing

Saheed Opeyemi, 23, is presently cooling his feet in Ilesa Prison Custody following the order of an Osogbo Magistrate Court for his remand over housebreaking and stealing.
He was last Tuesday before the court on a three-count charge bothering on conspiracy, stealing and house breaking.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Oladoye Joshua told the court that the accused and others at large on the 23rd of February, 2018 and 13th of May 2017 at about 10.30 am at Oke-Onitea area in Osogbo conspired to commit felony to wit housebreaking and stealing.
He stressed further that the accused broke into the dwelling house of Omisore Olusegun with intent to commit felony.
The prosecutor explained that the accused stole one Gionee phone, one Nokia x phone, one other Nokia phone and cash sum of N30,000 belonging to the complainant.
According to the prosecutor, the two phones are valued at N75,000, and in addition to the N30,000 cash, all totaled N105,000.
Inspector Oladoye submitted that the offence contravenes Section 516, Section 411(1)(2) and 383(1), punishable under Section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II Laws of Osun State 2002.
The suspect had no legal representation, but pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge brought against him.
The Magistrate, Mrs Awodele Modupe while ruling, ordered that the suspect be kept in Ilesha prison custody and thereby adjourned the case to June 26 for ruling on bail.
