There was tragedy at the Dan Rimi area of Fagge LGA of Kano State as a 20-year-old man, Yusuf Muhammad was stabbed into a coma allegedly by his neighbour, one Hassan Wanzami.
Osun Defender gathered that Muhammad and his friends were playing football in the neighbourhood but Wanzami, a local barber, tried to stop them, alleging that they were spoiling the frontage of his house and asked that the young men move to the next street and continued playing.
One of the victims said, “But not satisfied with their relocation, Wanzami chased them with a knife and stabbed Muhammad in the neck.”
Muhammad’s mother, Rabi, said, “I was at home around 11 am when they brought him (victim) with blood all over his body. I asked him who did that to him and he said it was Mallam Hassan. I asked him what he did to him and he said nothing. That’s when I took him to the hospital.”
She further said, “Some elders in the area had to intervene because his friends and other concerned people had already started coming out with sticks and knives to attack Mallam Hassan. The police were called and they took him away.”
The spokesperson of the state police command Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, when contacted, said they were investigating the issue.
