Man Arraigned For Stealing N1.2m Power Cable

A 23 years old man, Tapa Adeshina was dragged before an Osogbo magistrate court over an allegation of stealing electricity cable worth 1.2 million.
The accused was said to have conspired with other now at large to burgle into the house of Mrs Aderonke Amuda  situated at Oke-onitea area, Osogbo on 21st, July.
Although Adeshina pleaded not guilty to a three count charge of conspiracy, stealing and burgled leveled against him.
According to the police prosecutor, F.C Okafor the offence committed by the suspect is contrary to and punishable under section 516, 414 and 381(1) of the criminal code cap 34 vol. II laws of Osun state
The defense counsel, K. Ngwote pleaded to the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal term promising the accused would not jump bail.
The presiding magistrate, A.A Ayeni granted the accused person bail in the sum of 500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
The case adjourned till 13th October for mention.
