A suspected burglar simply identified as Oladele Damilola, has been arrested by men of Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service in Osun State.
Damilola was arrested around Agunbelewo Area in Osogbo, after breaking into shops and carted away foodstuffs and other valuables.
Items stolen by Damilola included Semovita, Noodles, Rice, standing fan, cooking pots, electric cooker among others.
The suspect claimed he was once remanded after stealing a phone said he resorted to stealing because he was not bouyant economically and has no food to eat.
Speaking on his modus operandi, Damilola said he ventured into the act after overhearing some women lamenting about how burglars broke into their shops through the ceiling.
Having learnt about it, he decided to venture into stealing by forcing his way through the ceiling of shops at Agunbelewo area.
Osun State Commander of the NHFSS, Ahmed Nureni, who confirmed the arrest said the suspect was arrested by its men who are on patrol on Moday.
Nureni added that the suspect has been handed over to the police for further investigations.
He said: “Our men arrested Damilola in the wee hour of Monday after breaking into three shops at Agunbelewo area in Osogbo and we recovered foodstuff and other valuables from him.
“We have also identified the victims whose shops were burgled.
“The suspect has been handed over to police for further investigations and possible prosecution, “he added
