Man Burgles Judge’s House, Lands In Prison
By Afeez Adebayo and Ajibola AbdulRasaqA magistrate court sitting in Osogbo Osun State has remanded a 21-year-old man, Babawale Kehinde in prison over alleged house breaking and stealing.
The accused person was docked on three count charges bothering on house breaking and stealing.
The charge sheet read in the court revealed that the accused person commited felony to wit Burglary and stealing.
Also, the charge sheet disclosed that the accused person broke into the dwelling house of one Justice Akinwale David Oladimeji on September, 21 2018 at 8pm, Ido-Osun area Osogbo Osun state.
The charge sheet also revealed that the accused person stole Haier Thermocool Refrigerator and Deep Freezer Engine, One Samsung Air conditioner engine, Two plasma Television, One CPU of Hp compaq computer, One radiator of generator set all value N425,000 and a Hard disk of a computer valued N10m.
The total valued according to the charge sheet, is N10,425,000 property of Justice Akinwale David Oladimeji.
The offence committed, the charge sheet disclosed is contrary to and punishable under section 516 of criminal code cap 34 vol.11 law of Osun state Nigeria, 2002.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the two count charges and guilty to the first count charge preferred against him.
However, the Defence Counsel, D.A Oyewale applied for the bail of the accused person on the most liberal terms, adding that he would not abuse the bail if granted.
Presiding Magistrate, Mrs Fatimah Sodamade ordered that the accused should be remanded in prison.
The case was adjourned to November 15, 2018.
