The Osun state Police Command has arraigned a 29-year-old Useni Haruna before an Osogbo magistrate court for burglary.
Haruna is facing four count charges bothering on burglary and stealing
Police prosecutor sergeant Soyemi Bose told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 20, 2018 at Zone 3, Ayekale area Osogbo.
Sergeant Soyemi said the accused who picks iron scraps broke into the building of one Sulaiman Olagoke through the window to steal aluminum window frame valued N35,000.
She further disclosed that the accused had stolen six bedroom flat aluminum window frames of the same building sometimes in February 2018 valued N525,000.
She also told the court that the offence committed is contrary to and punishable under section 413(1), 390(9) of the criminal code Cap34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
The accused pleaded guilty to the first count and pleaded not guilty to counts two, three and four.
Defence counsel, Mr. Amaechi Ugwu prayed the court to grant his client bail in most liberal terms, saying that reliable sureties will be provided.
Presiding Magistrate, Taofeeq Badmus granted the bail to the accused in sum of N100,000 with two sureties, one of the sureties must have a landed property.
The case was later adjourned till June 15 for hearing.
