Man In Court Over Motorcycle Theft

A 31 years-old Ganiyu Wakili has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate Court over unlawful possession of one Haojue Suzuki motorcycle. The charge sheet read in the court disclosed that the accused person committed the offence October 14, 2017, at about 4 pm at number 26, Odetoyinbo street behind Ayegbaju market, Osogbo.

 

It revealed that the accused person unlawfully possessed one Haojue Suzuki motorcycle valued #60,000.00 and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 430 of the criminal code cup 2003. It also disclosed that the accused person set Haojue Suzuki motorcycle ablaze and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 443 of the state penal code 2003.

 

The accused person who had no legal representation pleaded not guilty to the two count charges levelled against him. Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. Fatimah Sodamade granted the accused person bail in the sum of N50,000.00 with one surety and charged the police to verify the surety’s residential address.

 

She then adjourned the case till November 20, 2017 for further hearing.
