For allegedly stealing a sum of N70,000, the Osun State Police Command has arraigned a 25-year-old Oyedele Jayeola before an Osogbo magistrate court.
The accused was docked on two count charges bothering on stealing.
The Prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of police, Fagboyinbo Abiodun told the court that the accused committed the offence on September 15, 2018 at Pavillion Bar, Osogbo.
Fagboyinbo said the accused stole one handset valued N14,000 and stole the sum of N70,000 by transferring the money from one Dudupariola Opeyemi account to his account without the owner’s consent.
He submitted that the offence is contrary to and punishable under section 390 (9)of the criminal code cap 34 Vol. II laws of Osun state Nigeria 2003.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the two count charge against him.
The defence counsel, Mr. Bola Abimbola applied for the bail of the accused person in the most liberal and affordable terms.
He said the accused will provide a reliable and credible surety to stand for him.
The Magistrate, Mrs Fatimoh Sodamade granted the suspect bail in the sum of N200.000 with one surety.
She said, the surety must swear to an affidavit of means and present three years tax clearance certificate.
The case was adjourned for hearing.
