Police in Osun on Wednesday arraigned a 25-year-old man, Micheal Adeola before a magistrate court in Osogbo over an allegation bothering on stealing.
Michael pleaded guilty to the single charge preferred against him by the police. The prosecutor Inspector Jafani Muslim informed the court that the defendant committed the offence sometimes between April 2016 to July 2018 at Ajegunle Area, Osogbo.
He said the accused stole the sum of N350,000 only belonging to Mrs Mary Akilapa. The defence counsel, Mr Okobe Najite humbly applied for the bail of the accused person in liberal terms and conditions.
The Magistrate, Mrs O A Ajanaku granted the accused person bail with the sum of N200,000 and two sureties. According to her, one of the sureties must reside within the court jurisdiction and provide three years tax clearance certificate.
The case was adjourned to August 24.
