Man In Court Over Alleged Fraud

Osun state police command has arraigned a 57-year-old man, Adeosun Ademola before an Osogbo magistrate court over alleged fraud.

The accused was docked on two count charges bothering on fraud.

The charge sheet read in court revealed that the accused fraudulently  obtained the sum of N1million from one Sanusi Babatunde under the pretence of renting out three bedroom flat.

According to the charge sheet,the offence committed contravenes section 419 and punishable section 390 (9) of criminal code cap Vol II laws of Osun state Nigeria.

The charge sheet disclosed that the accused committed the offence on August 31 2018, at about 11:00am at GRA Osogbo.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him.

The defence counsel Mr. Doyin Ayedogbon Prayed the court to grant the accused bail in the most liberal term.

The Presiding Magistrate O A Oloyade granted the accused bail with the sum of N1 million with two sureties.

He added that one of the sureties must be civil servant at federal level and must  swear to an affidavit of means and provide three years tax clearance.

Case was adjourned to December 10, 2018 for hearing.
