A 30-year-old man, Olatoke Wasiu has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate court for allegedly defrauding Mr Aanuoluwa Gideon the sum of N700,000 with pretence of selling him a Toyota Corolla sport.
Wasiu was docked on two count charges bothering on fraud and stealing.
The prosecutor, Inspector Jafani Muslim told the court that the accused committed the offence between March 28th and 30, 2018 at Olude area in Osogbo.
He explained that the defendant fraudulently obtained the sum of N700,000 from Omotosho Aanuoluwa Gideon with the pretence of selling a Toyota corolla sport 2007 model to him.
He added that the offence contravenes section 419, section 383 and punishable under section 390 (9) of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11.laws of Osun State 2003.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges alleged against him.
The defence counsel, Mr Okobe Najite humbly applied for the bail of the accused person in most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mr O. Oladoke granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties.
Sureties are to sworn to affidavit of means and produce evidence of tax payments to the State government.
