Man In Court Over Rape, Assault

The Osun State police command has arraigned a 27-year-old man, Gafari Rasaki before an Osogbo Magistrate court for alleged rape.
Gafari is facing four count charges bothering on rape and indecent assault before Magistrate F.A Sodamade.
Police Prosecutor Inspector Elisha Olusegun told the court that the accused person committed the offence on July 14, 2018 at Ido-Osun area in Osogbo.
Elisha said the accused person, unlawfully had canal knowledge of a 21-year-old girl and also assaulted her indecently.
He submitted that the offence committed is contrary to and punishable under section 358 and 360 Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.
The accused person plea was not taken
The Magistrate ordered the accused person to be remanded in Ilesha prison.
She later adjourned the matter till August 8, 2018 for hearing.
