Man In Police Net For Selling Land With Fake Document
A 42-year-old man identified as Lasisi Ismail, has been arrested for allegedly selling a piece of land that does not belong to him.
Ismail was arrested by the operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps after selling the land located at Ilori-Agbedu, Ede, Osun State.
He allegedly sold the land at the sum of N800,000 to one Mrs Afolabi, with a fake document
Osun Amotekun Corps Commander, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), who confirmed the development in a statement in Saturday, said the arrest was effected after a report was filed at the Amotekun Headquarters in Osogbo on the activities of the culprit.
Omoyele added that the suspect fled to an unknown located after selling the land to the said woman.

“Amotekun operatives sprang into action immediately after a report was filed and the suspect arrested at his hideout.
“Ismail presented a forged receipt, claiming he bought the land from Mogaji’s family, but later confessed to forging the receipt and documents. The Mogaji family produced the original receipt, confirming Ismail’s dishonesty,” Omoyele said.
Omoyele called on Osun residents to be extremely careful and vigilant when buying landed properties from people not to fall victims of fraud.
He however said the suspect has been transferred to the Police for further interrogation and prosecution.
