Man Jumps Into Lagos Lagoon

A middle-aged man has allegedly committed suicide after jumping into the Lagos Lagoon from Third Mainland Bridge.

The incident attracted a crowd of passers-by who stopped on the bridge to catch a glimpse of the man while being brought out of the Lagoon dead by some fishermen and officials of the State Waterways Authority.

The remains of the victim were handed over to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit, SEHMU.

Recall that in June 2018, there were reports of a woman who allegedly jumped off the bridge into the water. In the same vein, a medical doctor, Allwell Orji, jumped to his death into the lagoon in March 2017.
