As time passed and the debt remained unpaid, Oyekan’s frustration led him to take the deceased’s son to the police station on a Sunday.

Lateef, upon discovering his son’s involvement with the police, confronted Oyekan seeking an explanation.

This confrontation took a violent turn as Oyekan allegedly struck Lateef in the neck with a fatal punch, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground.
