A horrific incident occurred in Evwreni Community, Delta State, when a father, identified as Samson, brutally smashed his toddler son to death.
The attack didn’t stop there; Samson also macheted a nursing mother, known as Princess, who was taking her son to the toilet, resulting in her tragic demise.
“He smashed his toddler son, then macheted a woman who took her son out to toilet to death, and injured the youths in process of trying to apprehend him, he injured more persons,” a source revealed to Vanguard.
According to the source, who craved anonymity, “He had been behaving strangely and that he was to be taken to a medical centre for medications before the unfortunate incident occurred.”
In an attempt to apprehend Samson, several youths and bystanders were injured. The community’s outrage boiled over, and an enraged mob eventually caught up with him.

In a shocking display of jungle justice, Samson was beaten to death, and his corpse was set ablaze along with his motorcycle.
“After the incident, he was finally apprehended, beaten to a stupor and his remains were set ablaze with his motorcycle,” the source added.
The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Edafe Bright, was unreachable for comment at the time of report. However, a senior security source confirmed the incident, stating, “Before our men could get to the scene, the suspect has been set ablaze.”
