Man Lynched For Killing Brother Over Inheritance
There was tension in Auchi, the administrative headquarters of Etsako West LGA of Edo State when a man identified as Odion was set on fire by angry mob after he allegedly killed his elder brother over family issues.
The incident, according to DailyTrust, happened at the Iyekhe community in Auchi when the suspect shot his elder brother, identified as Braimah Rasheed.
The suspect was said to had been threatened to kill his brother following disagreements over family affairs, which had to do with inheritance.
The situation infuriated some mob who also killed Odion.
A source said the suspect’s younger brother, who travelled to Italy, committed an offence and was jailed and had been accusing his brother of not doing enough to get him released.

The source said Odion had also been pressuring his elder brother to sell their late father’s house and use the money to fight for the release of their jailed brother in Italy.
The deceased said to be a lecturer at the Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, was allegedly ambushed by his younger one while returning home from a relative’s burial and shot him in the head.
He was said to have died on the spot.
It was gathered that after killing his brother, he attempted to flee the scene but was immediately apprehended by a mob, who beat and set him on fire.
It was also learnt that the deceased had since been buried according to Islamic rites.
