Man Petitions Police, Accuses Ogun Family Of Reselling His Land To Chinese Firm
An Ondo State indigene, Anuoluwapo Lebi has petitioned the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Lanre Ogunlowo, over an alleged fraud involving a landed property he acquired from a family in the state.
Lebi, in the petition dated April 02, 2025, a copy obtained by OSUN DEFENDER, claimed the said land was bought from Adebayo Ademolu family of Siun-Abeokuta.
The petitioner said he and his younger brother, Obafemi, bought one Acre and 1 plot of land from the Ademolu family on the 6th of July, 2022, and on the 29th of December, 2023, respectively.
He alleged the family sold their land to a Chinese company, adding that several efforts to get the land back or compensation were met with resistance by those who sold the property to them.
The petitioner urged the police to investigate the matter and ensure justice is served on the issue.
The petition reads in part, “This is to report a case of property fraud perpetrated by one Adebayo Ademolu family who is the customary owners of a large hectares of land, from which I, Lebi Anuoluwapo and my younger brother, Lebi Obafemi bought (1) One Acre and 1 plot of land measuring 4466.800 SQMTS, situate at Oganla Village along Siun-Abeokuta Road in Obafemi/Owode Local Government, Ogun State, on the 6th of July, 2022 and on the 29th of December, 2023.
“However, on one of our visits, we noticed some heavy-duty vehicles on our property and surrounding lands and clearing same. On further investigation, we were informed that our land had been fraudulently resold by the Adebayo Ademolu family to an alleged Chinese company.
“Sir, knowing fully well that it would be almost impossible to have the company vacate this already allocated land, we have initiated several meetings with the Adebayo Ademolu family who initially sold the property to us, with Adebayo Keshinro as a representative of the family, but they have decided to follow the pathway of impunity, declining to compensate us.
“We hereby request that the property fraud perpetrated by the Adebayo Ademolu family is investigated, as we are not the only victims of this family’s scam.”
