A Badagry Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State on Thursday, ordered the remand of Charles Chinonso, 35, at the Awarjigoh Correctional Centre for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old girl.
Chinonso pleaded guilty to a two-count charge of defilement and breach of peace.

Chief Magistrate A. J. Aina directed that the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for advice and adjourned the case until January 29, 2025.
Prosecutor Ayodele Adeosun told the court that Chinonso committed the offences in July 2023 at 8:00 p.m. at No. 233 Alubarika Bus Stop, Ajangbadi, in the Ojo area of Lagos.
Adeosun stated that the defendant touched the girl’s private parts without her consent and threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident.
According to the prosecutor, the offences allegedly contravene Sections 265, 263, and 168 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
