Man Remanded in Ekiti Over Burglary, Theft of Electrical Items
A 27-year-old man, Vincent Moses, has been remanded at the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Ado-Ekiti over alleged burglary and theft of electrical items valued at ₦5.38 million.
Moses was brought before the Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate’s Court, where Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun granted an ex parte application by the prosecution for his remand pending legal advice.
Prosecutor Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi told the court that the suspect allegedly committed the offences on January 18, 2026, in the Ijero-Ekiti Magisterial District.
The stolen items reportedly belong to Chief Opoese Samuel.
The case was adjourned to March 2, 2026, for mention.
