A middle-aged man, simply identified as Nnanna, has reportedly stabbed his neighbour over allegations that the victim was a wizard.
The incident happened on Wednesday at 37 Okwelle Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State.
It was gathered that the suspect stabbed the 65-year-old victim, Mr Monday Reuben, on the neck and head after accusing him of being behind his misfortunes.
Nnana fled after allegedly committing the crime and is nowhere to be found.
Reuben, who is still in pain, said the suspect had picked up a bottle, smashed it, and stabbed him Tuesday night, and later returned yesterday and stabbed him in the head.

He said: “I am the caretaker of 37, Okwelle Street, Mile 2 Diobu. Nnanna stabbed me. We were packing sand, and I called him to shift one side that we wanted to pack sand. He picked offence and said why did I call him, that ‘don’t I know I am a witch? And that he was bearing a grudge against me and that he would kill me and run away.
“He went and carried a bottle and broke it; he came and stabbed me. He stabbed me in the neck Tuesday night. This earlier morning, he barged into my house and stabbed me in the head.
“I am 65 years old. I want the Police and security to arrest him and ask him what I did. I have reported to Azikiwe Police Division.”
The victim said he had reported to the Azikiwe Police Division, where he was issued a doctor’s report.
