Man Supplying Food To Bandits In Ekiti Arrested

Operatives of Amotekun Corps in Ekiti State have arrested a man, Musa Abdulai, suspected to be an agent of the bandits in in the state and supplying food items to them at their hideouts.

The arrest was disclosed in a statement by the Head of the Communications Department of the Corps, Officer Adeleye Abiodun.

He noted that the 35-year-old Musa Abdulai, an indigene of Sokoto State residing at Shasha in Akure, Ondo State was on Monday 7th October, 2024 arrested in Ise Ekiti at about 6:30 pm.

Adeleye pointed out that the suspect was grabbed by the Amotekun Operatives of lse-Ekiti Local Government Command at Oritan Forest Reserve located at Ise/Orun during a patrol and confessed that he had been supplying food items to people suspected to be Fulani/Bororo bandits hiding in the area.

Exhibits recovered from him at the scene of his arrest inside the forest included a sack bag containing food items.

He has since been handed over to the Divisional Police Station in Ise Ekiti for further investigations.
