MC Oluomo Defies Court Order, Resumes As NURTW President
Days after his removal as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has defied a court ruling and resumed office.
The Appeal Court in Abuja had on Friday invalidated the election that brought Akinsanya to power, reinstating Tajudeen Baruwa as the re-elected national president. The ruling followed widespread criticism of the election process held in Osogbo, Osun State, which many deemed controversial.
Despite the court’s decision, MC Oluomo appears unfazed and determined to retain his position. In a recent post on social media, Akinsanya shared a picture of himself in an official setting, tending to documents in an office believed to be the NURTW national headquarters.

The picture featured him deeply engrossed in administrative duties, symbolizing his defiance of the court ruling and a signal of continuity in his leadership.
