Media Strategist, Okanlawon Chides Dino Melaye Over X Tweet

A media strategist and consultant, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon, has taken a swipe at Senator Dino Melaye, describing him as one of the Nigerian politicians with deep seated materialism.

Okanlawon described some Nigerian politicians as “sick” for siphoning money meant for the development of the country.

He was replying Melaye’s tweet on X in which the senator commented on a video where some people were praying on faulty transformer.

Melaye tweeted: “We are sick in Africa. How can people be praying for a spoilt transformer. Watch this video and know that we have major problems.”

Replying the tweet, Okanlawon said: “We’re not sick, it’s the greedy politicians who spend people’s money to buy exotic cars they decorate their houses with that are sick. Funds meant for these people’s education have been stolen and the thieves have bought Ferrari, Lamborghini, Roll Royce with them.”

Melaye, a former senator and member of the 8th National Assembly, representing Kogi West Senatorial district, is known for living an extravagant life with vehicles and motorcycles worth millions of naira in his garage.
