Members Pledge Loyalty, Commitment To Ideology Of Omoluabi Progressives

  • As Leadership Visits Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Fed. Constituency

The statewide tour of the Omoluabi Progressives, a caucus of the All Progressives Congress in Osun moved to the Ifelodun/ Boripe/Odo-Otin federal constituency on Friday, where members pledged their loyalty to the ideology of the caucus.

Those who spoke at the stakeholders meeting including a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Olalekan Afolabi, and a former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in the state, Hon. Adelani Baderinwa, among others, said they are ready to mobilise for the success of the caucus vision.

Abosede Oluwaseun, the organising and publicity secretary of the caucus, in a statement on Saturday, stated that the stakeholders also commended the efforts of the state executive committee led by Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, for giving all members a level playing ground, as well as the opportunity for interaction and regular advocacy, urging them not to relent.

They also saluted the efforts of the grand patron of the group, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, for his commitment to the success of the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus.

Corroborating the stakeholders, the Eesa of Ikirun, Chief Lawal Adetoyese, flanked by members of the Ikirun Traditional Council noted that the impact of the Aregbesola years on Osun is unquantifiable, urged the leadership of the caucus to continue in its mission of ensuring that good governance thrives in the state.

The traditional council also offered royal blessings for the success of the caucus.

Responding, the Chairman of the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus, Alhaji Adesjii thanked the traditional council and the stakeholders at the Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin federal constituency for the warm reception.

He reiterated his resolve to run an open administration, stressing that all hands must be on deck on the group’s mission to reclaim power in the state in 2026.

Adesiji expressed satisfaction with the level of work done, just as he charged members not to relent in bringing more people to the fold.

The Chairman also asked members to comply with the procedures of the ongoing registration at the local government level.

Highlights of the meeting were the rendering of solidarity songs as well as the education of stakeholders on the Omoluabi ethos, which is the ideology of the caucus.
