Men Accused Of Stealing Motorcycle Granted Bail

An Osogbo Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun State has granted bail application of one Tijani Bayo, 26 and Busari Aliu, 24 who were alleged of conspiracy, breach of peace and stealing of a Bajaj Motorcycle.
When they were arraigned, the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun told the court that the accused persons committed the offence on May 27, 2018 at Gaa Fulani Area, Halleluyah Estate, Osogbo.
He explains further that the suspects conspired together to commit felony.
According to the charge sheet, the accused persons stole one Bajaj Motorcycle with Registration number KTU 566 QB, property of one Mr. Omoloye Rasaq.
He stated that the accused persons conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace by dangling cutlasses against the complainant, Mr. Omoloye Rasaq.
Inspector Fagboyinbo submitted that the offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 249 (D) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. II Laws of Osun State Nigeria 2003.
The suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
The defence counsel, Mr. Okobe Najite applied for the bail of his clients in the most liberal terms.
The magistrate, Mr. Olusegun Ayilara granted the accused persons bail in the sum of N100,000 each with two sureties in like sum.
The case was adjourned to June 22, 2018 for hearing.
