Migrating Herders From Osun Attack APC Spokesman Farm In Offa

A farm belonging to the spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Offa, Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State was attacked on Friday, June 18.

According to Babawale Zaid Afolabi, spokesman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) the suspected herders are said to have migrated from Idanre in the State of Osun.

They attacked the farm located behind Offa University around 6 pm.

In an attempt to resist the attackers, one farmer, Yakub Salasi (27) sustained serious degrees of injuries.

Others victims injured in the attack were later transferred to Abdulsalam Hospital, Offa for further treatment.

The herdsmen escaped from the scene, while the farmers alerted the Offa Civil Defence JTF division. However, most of their cows were injured and seized by the aggrieved farmers.

A Fulani man, Alhaji Sabo Yaro, who intervened in the matter, promised to assist security agents in smoking out the suspects.
