Minimum Wage: Organised Labour Walks Out As FG Increases Proposal To N60,000

Again, the organised Labour on Tuesday walked out of the Tripartite Committee meeting on Minimum Wage.

The latest walkout came after the Federal Government increased its offer to N60,000.

Vanguard reports that a source privy to the meeting which is taking place in Abuja, said the federal government increased its offer by N3,000 thereby taking the whole amount to N60,000.

The source, said, “We walked out again. Just now. They (the federal government) added 3k. We reduce 3k.”

At the time the organised labour walked out, the federal government’s offer was N60,000, while labour lessened its demand to N494,000.
