Mixed Reactions As Nigerian University Expels Student For Participating In TikTok Ceiling Challenge
There have been mixed reactions to the decision of the Management of Madonna University, Nigeria, to expel a female student for participating in the viral Ceiling Challenge.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that Madonna University is the first Catholic university in Nigeria. It was accredited by National Universities Commission. Madonna University Nigeria has three campuses that are located in Elele – Rivers State, Okija – Anambra State and Akpugo – Enugu State.
OSUN DEFENDER recalls that some hours ago, Ceiling Challenge also known as Surround Sound TikTok generated millions of impressions across social media pages following the participation of women only.
The ladies in this trend attached their phones to the ceiling while the majority danced almost half-naked, whining their waists and other x-rated moves.
Barely hours following the trend, the Madonna University student identified as Gennydbaddie on Tiktok was expelled from the institution.
According to a leaked voice note from one of the students of the school, Genny’s file was immediately withdrawn for defaming the institution.
The video has since been deleted from her social media pages.
However, many Nigerians have taken to their social media handles to react to the development. While others commended the university for making such action, others condemned it.
