Mixed Reactions In Ile Ife Over Omoworare’s Governorship Ambition

The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Senator Babajide Omoworare’s declaration to seek for governorship post under the All Progressive Congress(APC) in September 2017 has thrown up reactions in Ile Ife with some experts weighing in with their views.

Already, the countdown to the next Osun governorship election is on and with the recent declaration by Senator Omoworare of his intention to seek election into office in 2018 it seems to be gathering momentum with each passing day in the ancient city.

Basically, the Omoworare’s declaration has also put to rest the uncertainty surrounding his political ambition, but interestingly , it has thrown up public reactions and controversies in Ile Ife over whether he has done well as a senator to deserve the support of Ife people.

Some experts have also weighed in with their views on the Omoworare’s performance as Senator to seek election for governorship post.

Some political analysts in Ile Ife said Omoworare has done well and deserve the support of all and sundry of Ife while others opined that his chances of winning the APC primary is uncertain.

According to a human right activist, Comrade Yinka Gbemisola said Senator Omoworare declared to contest for governor so that he may be considered for Federal government appointment if he doesn’t emerge.
