Top British model Jourdan Dunn is stunning on the cover of Fashion Magazine‘s May issue, available April 10th. The 26-year-old model and mum of one talked to the magazine about her struggles growing up, being pregnant at 19 and more.
See excerpts below.
On looking different while growing up: “People pick up on your differences and want to tear you down. It got to the point where I didn’t want to walk down the street because I was so paranoid that people were looking at me and judging me; I was definitely insecure about my body.”
On discovering she was pregnant at 19: “I asked myself ‘Can I be responsible for another human being? Like, what the hell!’ I was lucky I had my mom to guide me, but at the same time she let me learn to trust my own instincts.”
On trying to figure out the answers in life: “I don’t think of myself as a role model, but I do want people to know that it’s OK to, like, f**k up. We’re humans. We’re not perfect. I’m not trying to portray anything but my true self.”
