A video has surfaced online showing a House of Representative member, Adigun Adekunle, struggling to move a motion during a plenary session.
The lawmaker who represents the people of Ibadan North-East/South-East federal constituency under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the video broadcasted by TVC and shared on X, was having difficulty correctly moving a motion to revoke a resolution related to one of his earlier motions.
“Recognition coming from, the list coming from, department of eeh…; okay, I arise to move a motion as decision moved as amended. Thank you, Mr Speaker. Okay, Mr Speaker, sorry sir, I arise, I move to motion to rescind the resolution on first motion,” he said.
The lawmaker was later rescued from his struggles by the swift intervention of Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
Reacting to the video which has now gone viral, an X user, Adeleye Tolu, wrote on X: “Stop electing or hand picking møröns but Una no dey ever hear word… in a country full of unemployed intelligence graduates, how is this düñcë elected?”

Another X user Harry said: “This is probably the first time he’s speaking at the National Assembly. At the end of the day, he will carry millions and go home.
“I guess he’s even better, some will be there for 4yrs and won’t move any motion, won’t speak, won’t argue. “Anything they talk, it is OKAY by me.”
Patrick Psalm wrote: “Baba won’t understand one thing until his tenure runs out. It was practically dictated to him, but ‘for where?’ We go continue to vote based on who share money pass.”
