The monarchs, under the aegis of Network of Kings from Osun Country Side made up of royal fathers from rural communities gave commendation on Sunday during the presentation of an award tagged: “Champion of Rural Development” to the governor at the government house, Osogbo.
Led by their chairman, the Owalaja of Kajola Ajaba, Oba Taiwo Adeniyi Ayeni, the morachs explained that they decided to honour the governor with the award because of the unprecedented development he has brought to the state.
The monarch, who described Aregbesola as God sent to the state at the right time, explained that the governor has written his name in gold in the state, as his achievements would be difficult to surpass in the nearest future.
He noted that Aregbesola in just eight years has taken Osun on a journey that would ordinarily have taken the state about 30 years to cover, stressing that the development of Osun has been fast tracked by the visionary leadership style of the present governor.
Oba Ayeni who lamented the paucity of funds which hindered some of the positive visions of the governor, explained that there is no aspect of human life that has not been touched by the administration despite the lean resources of the state.
