Mother Of 10 Seeks Divorce Over Husband’s Plan To Sell House To Marry New Wife

A housewife, Sadiya Bashir has asked for divorce at a Shari’a court sitting in Rigasa, Kaduna, over her husband’s plans to sell their house and marry another wife.

The divorce seeking woman told the court that her husband, Abdullahi Haruna does not provide food for her and her 10 children.

But the husband denied planning to sell his house.

He however, confirmed that he wanted to marry another wife.

He said he had been living peacefully with his wife until his plans of marrying another wife came to her knowledge, adding that he had been providing for his family, based on his capabilities.

The judge, Malam Muhktar Mu’azu ordered the couple to present their witnesses in court on Nov. 14.
